The Adornes Domain in Bruges is a historic estate founded in the 15th century by the wealthy Adornes family. Originally from Genoa, the family settled in Bruges in the 13th century. The estate includes the Jerusalem Chapel, inspired by Anselm Adornes after he visited the Holy Land. Completed in 1429, the chapel is renowned for its unique architecture, heavily influenced by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. In addition to the chapel, the estate also comprises a manor house and various outbuildings. Today, the Adornes Domain operates as a museum offering insights into the life and culture of medieval Bruges. It stands as a significant example of the city's rich history and cultural heritage.
