The Tate Gallery of Modern Art in London is one of the largest museums for modern and contemporary art in the world. Since 1916, it has been our mission to create a collection of international paintings and sculptures. We present works from the most significant and influential artists of both classical modernism and the present. Our headquarters is located in a converted power station, the former Bankside Power Station, on the Thames bank of the Southwark district.
