The Egyptian Museum in Cairo, officially known as the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, is one of the most significant museums in the world. It was inaugurated in 1902 and houses one of the largest collections of ancient Egyptian art and artifacts. The museum is located at Tahrir Square in the heart of Cairo and is a major attraction for tourists and scholars from around the globe. Some of its most famous exhibits include the treasures of Tutankhamun, including his golden death mask, as well as numerous mummies, statues, and burial goods from various periods of ancient Egyptian history. The Egyptian Museum plays a central role in the preservation and study of Egyptian culture and history.
